God's Grace...

Well today is my birthday. And as I have sat around today just trying to take the day in I have been struck by several things as of late. First being how blessed I truly am. On my birthday I think of all the gifts God has already blessed me with. The best gift on earth has been my wife, what an amazing women, followed by my incredibly fantastic two daughters. God has blessed me with good friends and is seeing fit to allow me to make new ones too. I have the best job in the world and work with some amazing people.

But I also could not escape the gift of all gifts, God's endless and everlasting grace. As the official Keeper of the Hymnal, I was reminded of that old hymn grace grace God's grace...remember the chorus?

"Grace, grace, God's grace,
grace that will pardon and cleanse within;
grace, grace, God's grace,
grace that is greater than all our sin!"

What an incredible thought..the grace of the creator of everything and His unconditional love for me and you. We get so side tracked at times with who is right about this interpretation of scripture, and who has the right view of this or that...and I stop and think...NONE of us have it ALL right...so if you expect God to pour out His grace on you in the things that you have wrong, even if you know it or not, then why do you think He will not pour out His grace on me and others in the areas that we have missed it too.

I know people say "well there are absolutes that are truth..." I would agree and if we look at the Bible closely we will find them... Paul said the most important things are that you believe that Jesus Christ was the son of God , He came to this earth and was killed for you as an atoning sacrifice to God, and that he rose again and now is with God the Father at His right hand. There are a lot of other things not mentioned...

So as you ponder the Grace of God I pray that you will pour out God's grace to others in the same way you want God to pour out His grace on you...

Peace.
