I love that song. What a great use of lyrics. One persons perspective in the song is that you are leaving and the other persons perspective is thinking that they are arriving...I really like this song. This always makes me think of changes in life. Some changes are easy, simple and people hardly notice. Then there is CHANGE, the hard decisions, sleepless nights and the ones where everyone is watching.

I am amazed at how our own perspectives of a situation can "color" how we see the situation and the people involved. Just as the song suggest, some people will see the situation as a farewell, while the person in the situation may see it as a new arrival. Have you ever experienced this? I have lately and it is both a wonderful feeling and a feeling of confusion.

How can one person look at something as a loss and the other see it as a gain. God is amazing in what he can put in our hearts if we let Him. He can take a situation that looks like it is a departure and turn it into a wonderful and exciting arrival.
