Say what you need to say...

I think I will. A popular song has the lyrics.." say what you need to say..." OK I will take you up on that. Very few people may ever read this post, but it is going to be a cleansing of the soul for me. I am thankful for the people God has put in my life. But I am amazed at how people will stay with you as long as the hard times don't include them having to roll up their sleeves and getting dirty with you.

The church really seems to know how to pray for you if you have some kind of physical problem or disease. But have a spiritual problem and my experience is that the church becomes deaf and dumb. What a shame. I know that I have done the same things to people that are struggling ...I have not known what to say..well I can tell you one thing..not saying anything is the wrong answer.

It really makes me sad and angry that people..leaders...even friends will just stop all communications in the name of giving you space. I used to hear that from a girlfriend that was trying to break up with me... I thought those days were over... well I guess not.

Please if you see someone hurting spiritually ..just be there to hear their thoughts and frustrations..just be there. That will mean more than you will ever know..

Peace.

Sounds like you're feeling abandoned. Don't forget that even when the imperfect brothers and sisters are failing, God is with you. I'll also bet that there's someone else willing to listen, but they may not even know that they're needed yet. I pray you'll find them soon.

I know exactly where you're coming from. Let me know when you'd like to get together for lunch.I'm free just about any time.

Jeff, I have been there and felt the abandonment and the sadness that goes with it. Looking at it from the other side now, though, I know it is important to focus on the good. Also, be open and transparent with people so that they can help more easily. But most importantly, rely on God. He is perfect and won't let you down as his imperfect people sometimes do. Heh, he led me here tonight to make me aware of your need!

God, please give Jeff the peace that comes with confidence in your promises. Make him feel your presence in his life. Overshadow his current frustrations with your immense love. I ask this in the name of and claim the power of Jesus Christ.
