A church without signs...

I thought about this the other day. How great would it be to have a church with no signs. People might say "Well what kind of church is it" and the answer would be...Yes. That's just it, it should be church...period. It should be a place that has only one brand...the brand of Jesus. It's to be Jesus church, not a Baptist, Methodist, or church of Christ..Just a church where followers of Jesus get together. For far to long we have been to worried about the brand and not the power or person behind it. No wonder Jesus prayed for unity knowing that we would do this to his church.

I recently remembered the old definition of insanity...doing the same things over and over and expecting different results...we need to wake the church up....we need to follow the lead of the Holy Spirit not what is the gripe of the moment. I am weary with church leaders who say they want change and they want a new fresh direction for the church and yet continue to lead or not lead in many ways. Why are we so afraid of leading instead of reacting to the latest compliant.

Our days are getting shorter and I am tired of a church that is like a record that is skipping...same thing over and over...we need to just STOP!! We need to be honest with ourselves and other people..we need leaders... not people who try to manage constant conflict..

As the old saying goes..Follow...Lead...or get out of the way. And lets just take the signs down...
